STALKONE LIMITED LIABILITY COMPANY
is implementing a project co-financed by European Funds.
Grant agreement No. FENG.03.01-IP.03-0160/23
Umowa o dofinansowanie nr FENG.03.01-IP.03-0160/23
Improving the energy efficiency of the production plant and investing in renewable energy sources at Stalkone under Measure 3.01 Green Loan of the European Funds for a Modern Economy Programme 2021–2027, co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund.
The total project cost is PLN 5,667,000.
The institution grants the Beneficiary funding in the amount of PLN 4,106,300.
This project involves investment in the following tangible fixed assets related to a fundamental change in the production process of the existing plant:
Installation of a heating and cooling system inside the production hall.
Purchase of a CNC milling machine with a 600 × 1200 working area and lower power consumption than the machine being replaced.
Installation of a 150 kWp photovoltaic system on the roof of the hall.
Construction of a ground heat exchanger and purchase of a heat pump with a heating capacity of 300 kW.
Target groups
The change in the heating method of the production and assembly hall, based on renewable energy sources, will be implemented in Gdynia on plot No. 651/1 belonging to Stalkone Sp. z o.o., together with a reduction in the energy intensity of production processes.
Project objective
The objective of the planned modernisation is to change the heating method of the production and assembly hall to one based on renewable energy sources in Gdynia, on plot No. 651/1 belonging to Stalkone Sp. z o.o., and to reduce the energy intensity of production processes.
The project implemented by the Applicant is primarily intended to:
increase the dimensions of milled components;
promote the use of renewable energy sources in the plant’s day-to-day operations;
improve the energy efficiency of the hall heating system;
improve the energy efficiency of the component milling process;
automate the milling process.
Project effects and outcomes
The project will replace the current hall heating system, based on oil-fired heaters, with an integrated system using renewable energy sources, consisting of:
a ground heat exchanger;
heat exchangers installed in the hall;
a heat pump.
In addition to modernising the hall heating system, the audit identified the need to install photovoltaic panels with a capacity of 150 kWp. All energy generated by the panels will be used for the plant’s own needs, both to power the heat pump and the other equipment located in the hall.
The above measures will reduce the negative impact on the natural environment, reduce the use of primary energy and lower the plant’s operating costs. Among other things, annual final energy consumption will be reduced by 93,963.33 kWh/year and annual primary energy consumption by 459,832.67 kWh/year.
In addition to modernising the heating system, the Applicant plans to improve the energy efficiency of the steel component milling process by replacing an old, energy-intensive milling machine with a new, more energy-efficient one.
